More than four decades after one of the most well-documented military UAP encounters in history, new witness testimony from the 1980 Rendlesham Forest incident is shedding fresh light on events near RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk, England.

Two former U.S. Air Force security personnel have broken their silence, providing detailed accounts that both corroborate and expand upon the existing record.

The Original Incident

The Rendlesham Forest incident occurred over December 26-28, 1980. Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt led an investigation team into the forest, recording observations on a now-famous audio tape. Staff Sergeant Jim Penniston reported approaching and touching a triangular craft with hieroglyphic-like inscriptions. Multiple witnesses reported the object emitting light beams near the weapons storage area. Physical evidence included ground indentations and elevated radiation readings.

New Testimony

Former Airman First Class David Morales reports: "We were told to stay at our posts. But what I saw was a structured object, triangular, with blue and orange lights, hovering completely silent above the tree line for at least ten minutes before it shot straight up and vanished."

Former Senior Airman Patricia Keane describes: "My radio went dead. The vehicle's electronics flickered. Through the windshield, I could see a bright white light — not diffuse like a flare, but concentrated and geometric. When I reported it, I was told to continue my patrol and not log the observation."

The Suppression Question

Both witnesses describe being instructed not to discuss their observations. Morales states he was interviewed by OSI agents and told the incident was classified. "They made it clear that our careers depended on our silence. For 45 years, I kept that promise."

The new testimony has prompted renewed calls for the British Ministry of Defence to release remaining classified files related to the incident.
